Okay - so is it really Spring now? We were fooled a couple of weeks ago with a great warm day and then a week later it was cold and snowy and sleety - crazy Washington weather.
.
Now today, we had an absolutely gorgeous day - sunny and warm, a light breeze to ruffle Connor's hair. We mowed the yard, we worked on the garden, we listened to the birds sing and watched the hummingbirds humming.
.
The, we had a great dinner and lots of fun, and afterwords we had frozen custard! Mommy had Tiramisu custard that tasted just like the real thing and Connor had his own cone that he ate almost all by himself!!
.
Then, on the drive home, we saw a beautiful sunset and enjoyed the ride through the countryside with babbling brooks and winding curves.
.

Now, on with the show!!

Dad was up early Saturday morning mowing with a gas lawn mower around some trees near our pond. The grass was still wet from the dew, which made the slope he was mowing very slick. While lifting an evergreen branch, Dad’s foot slipped under the mower!
.
He was very lucky, the blade didn’t cut through his shoes. It did whack his big toe a few times before he managed to pull his foot out though.

.
A few days later, Dad was telling the story to a neighbor, and showing him his bruised and swollen toe. The neighbor took a close look at the toe and then said, “Looks like you need to sharpen your lawn mower blade.”

Checking the menu, a restaurant customer ordered a bowl of vegetable soup.
After a couple of spoonfuls, he saw a circle of wetness right under the bowl on the tablecloth.
He called the waitress over and said, "It's all wet down here. The bowl must be cracked."
The waitress said, "You ordered vegetable soup, maybe it has a leek in it."

Terrible Country Song Titles:
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in bed
Drop kick me Jesus through the goalposts of life
Her teeth were stained but her heart was pure
How can I miss you if you won't go away?
I changed her oil, she changed my life
I don't know whether to kill myself or go bowling
I fell in a pile of you and got love all over me
I keep forgetting I forgot about you
I would have wrote you a letter but I couldn't spell yuck
If my nose were full of nickels I'd blow it all on you
My wife ran off with my best friend and I sure do miss him
You're the reason our kids are so ugly

Hidey ho Neighboreenos!!

Connor just got back from the beach - had lots of fun in pretty darn good weather. He is really glad he can finally get back outside and run around on his own - poor guy has been cooped up inside all Winter and I think he'd sleep outside if we would let him.

Ready to get to work on the farm

Spring is coming?

Good day! Hopefully, Spring has finally sprung, and in that hope, we have included some older pictures that show how much Connor has grown. Intermixed are some pictures of natural wonders and a couple of real animals.

In honor of opening day, 3 little troopers from last year!

What kid doesn't love a polar bear??

Another oldie - my how he's grown since then!

For those who've never see mesquite, those are roughly
3" woody thorns - try running through those!!

The world's largest lizard - the Komodo dragon.
This one is about a year old.

Don't worry, his face straightened out. :)

Wide open vistas of Sedona

Not really sure where this was . . .

One of Daddy's favorite moments ever.

There's a new sheriff in town - and he knows how to wear his hat!
